A brittle legislative environment and competing geopolitical crises have put the United States at serious risk of falling back into the cycle of crisis and complacency in health security. Pandemic fatigue has settled in as the country marks one million lives lost from Covid-19. What are the prospects for getting the domestic and global funding for the Covid-19 response back on track? How can we sustain a bipartisan dialogue and build consensus around stable, multi-year global health security funding to avoid complacency and ensure continued pandemic preparedness?
