The CSIS Economics Program is hosting a virtual webinar to discuss the future of data free flow with trust (DFFT) on Tuesday, March 14th from 8:15 AM - 9:15 AM EDT.
In 2019, former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe proposed the concept of "data free flow with trust (DFFT)" at the World Economic Forum, winning G20 leaders' support for the idea at the Osaka Summit later that year. As G7 host in 2023, Japan is now hoping to operationalize the concept of DFFT. The March 14th event will feature experts who will explore the feasibility of this goal and ways that it might be put into practice.
