Hugh Nolan Grant-Chapman

Hugh Grant-Chapman is a fellow with the Economics Program and Scholl Chair in International Business at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). His research focuses on trade, innovation strategy, and Chinese economic policy. Hugh previously worked at the Center for Democracy and Technology, where he researched civic technology, privacy protection, and AI governance. He has also completed a Fulbright grant in Taiwan and a graduate internship at the Taiwan office of the U.S. Department of Commerce International Trade Administration. Hugh holds an MA in public policy from the Harvard Kennedy School and a BA in political science from Westmont College.
