Global Governance and G7 Reform
Examining G7 reforms to meet the new challenges of global governance
The world is witnessing the fraying of the global governance system. The UN Security Council is frozen by geopolitical rivalry. Other institutions, such as the G20 and World Trade Organization, are dysfunctional and underperforming. Against these disconcerting circumstances, the G7, a grouping of industrialized democracies, is uniquely positioned to foster a more stable and predictable world order. This project examines the role for Asia in a reformed G7.
This project is made possible with support from CSIS and FKI.
