Seven Revolutions

Seven Revolutions is an ongoing research initiative to identify the most important macrotrends defining our world to 2050.

Research findings are presented in a fast-paced, data- and visual-rich presentation that uncovers the drivers reshaping the future of human population, resources, technology, information, economics, security, and governance. Taken together, these forces of change—the Seven Revolutions—are a call to action for leaders in government, business, and civil society to begin to think, plan, and act for a better future.

Director of the CSIS Risk and Foresight Group, Sam Brannen, leads this effort to look beyond today’s vertigo-inducing headlines and identify the underlying challenges and opportunities for humanity in the decades ahead.
