CSIS invites you to a discussion of the Clean Energy Innovation, an Energy Technology Perspectives report from the International Energy Agency (IEA). Timur Gül, Head of the Energy Technology Policy Division at the IEA, will present highlights from this recently released special report, followed by a discussion with Mr. Gül and Jessika Trancik, Associate Professor at the MIT Institute for Data, Systems, and Society.
Clean Energy Innovation looks at the role that key technologies and innovation can play in creating a more resilient energy sector. The report identifies 5 principles necessary for these technologies to deliver zero-emissions energy.
Sarah Ladislaw will lead a conversation with Timur about which technologies are most ready move to market, what role government R&D can play in developing and supporting these technologies, and how to keep energy innovation and investment a top priority.
