During his second trip to the Asia-Pacific region since President Obama announced a new strategic concept for the United States, Deputy Secretary Ashton Carter recently visited Japan, South Korea, the Philippines and Indonesia to discuss America’s future in the region and the United States’ commitment to making sure that it remains safe, secure and prosperous for all nations.

CSIS hosted a Statesmen’s Forum for a trip report on Deputy Secretary Carter's recent travel and meetings across the region regarding America's defense commitments to the Asia-Pacific.
