Trade Irritants and Agricultural Vulnerability: Opportunities and Risks for the USMCA Joint Review

June 24, 2026 • 1:30 – 3:00 pm EDT

Brought to you by

As tariffs, retaliatory measures, and other trade-restrictive tools escalate across North America, the risk of spillover into agricultural markets grows, bringing real consequences for farmers and consumers alike. At the same time, long-standing disputes continue to test the resilience of regional cooperation.

This discussion will examine both new and recurring tensions and unpack their intersection with topics such as Canada’s dairy supply management system; biotechnology; seasonal and perishable produce; and the intersection of sweeteners, beverage taxation, and front-of-package labeling.
