As the Biden administration gears up for the second-ever U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit taking place on December 13 to December 15, CSIS experts will unpack the challenges and opportunities for strengthening ties between the U.S. and African countries during the Summit. The convening presents an opportunity for the Biden administration to personally make the case for the new U.S. Strategy Toward Sub-Saharan Africa, which aims to shift U.S. engagement with Africa from an uneven relationship to equal partnerships. African heads of state will be looking for substantial agreements and partnerships coming out of the Summit.
Join us for a conversation with Mvemba Phezo Dizolele, senior fellow and director of the CSIS Africa Program, and Cameron Hudson, senior associate (non-resident) with the CSIS Africa Program.
