Kathleen Lord Fallon is a military fellow for the Defense and Security Department at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, D.C. Her research focuses on national security, with a concentration on technology, cybersecurity, homeland defense, strategy, and incident response. As an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard, Commander Fallon has served as a fellow in the U.S. Senate, as the deputy chief of staff of operations for the Department of Homeland Security, and as a judge advocate at U.S. Africa Command and the U.S. Coast Guard Heartland District. She has also served at sea as the executive officer of the Coast Guard Cutter Drummond and as a deck watch officer aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Reliance. Commander Fallon earned a JD from the University of Maryland School of Law and a BS from the United States Coast Guard Academy.
