Phillip Meylan

Phillip Meylan is a deputy director of publications with the Office of External Relations at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), where he provides editorial guidance and helps direct CSIS’s flow of publications. He also works as an affiliate researcher with FP Analytics, the research and advisory division of Foreign Policy magazine, and consults with a range of organizations on policy-oriented work across a broad range of issue areas and mediums. Between 2018 and 2024, he worked as a freelance editor, researcher, and analyst, during which time he published with FP Analytics, Yahoo News, InsideHigherEd, and news start-up The Factual, among other venues. Prior to 2018, he worked as a content strategist, editor, and website administrator for CSIS. He holds an MSc in comparative politics from the London School of Economics and a BA in political science and sustainability studies from the University of Florida.
