Chevron Forum on Development
The forum will draw on leaders and thinkers on development and entrepreneurship from the private sector, donor country governments, non-governmental organizations, and the developing world to:
- Identify areas of strength and key challenges to development;
- Highlight innovations in development;
- Facilitate engagement with emerging and developing economies, multilateral organizations, and other bilateral donors; and
- Explore ways for the U.S. government to strategically and effectively engage the private sector.
On June 3rd, 2011 former secretary of state Condoleezza Rice and former national security advisor James Jones launched the Chevron Forum on Development with a public dialogue on "The Role of Development in U.S Foreign Policy and National Security."
