Family Planning, Maternal and Child Health, and Immunizations

Studying the issues that most strongly impact women’s and family health to support U.S. goals in global health, development, foreign policy, and security.

In recent years, the U.S. government has placed a higher priority on family planning and maternal and child health in its global health programs, working with governments, other bilateral partners, and multilateral agencies to improve the health of mothers, newborns, and children. The Global Health Policy Center provides in-depth analysis of U.S. and international approaches to expanding access to family planning information and services and to reducing preventable maternal and child deaths in some of the world’s most vulnerable communities.
