Maharashtra renews MERC (Terms and Conditions for Determination of Renewable Energy Tariff) Regulations, 2019. Himachal Pradesh reduces HPERC Tariffs across all consumer categories for the FY 2026-27. The tariffs, ordered by the Himachal Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (HPERC) will come into force by April 1, 2026 reduce energy charges for domestic-category power consumers with electricity consumption between 0 and 60 units to ~$0.050 (INR 4.71)/kWh from ~$0.050 (INR 4.72)/kWh.
