A Strategic Framework for America in the Twenty-First Century

In recent years, the world has experienced significant geopolitical shifts, with conflicts like the Ukraine war and China’s closer ties to Russia challenging the established global order. While America has historically played a leading role in shaping international systems, this position is increasingly questioned both abroad and domestically. China’s growing assertiveness and the Global South's pursuit of alternative partnerships present new challenges to America's long-standing influence.

To maintain global leadership, America must evolve. A strategy focused on innovation, economic growth, and deeper engagement with emerging economies is essential. Investing in advanced technologies, fostering talent, and supporting private sector–driven development will help America stay competitive while ensuring its prosperity. These efforts need not conflict; global leadership and domestic growth can reinforce one another. Far from being a zero-sum game, international engagement strengthens U.S. security and the U.S. economy. Now is the time for America to recalibrate its role in the global order and ensure its leadership remains impactful in a rapidly changing world.
