Hydrogen Growth Prospects: Impact of the Initial 45V Guidance
Brought to you by
The 45V tax credit for the production of clean hydrogen has been one of the most contentious provisions introduced in the Inflation Reduction Act. The crux of the debate lies in ensuring that clean hydrogen leads to verifiable emissions reductions without compromising the deployment of clean hydrogen technologies. Tasked with crafting implementation language for the 45V tax credit that balances these seemingly conflicting priorities, the Treasury Department released its proposed guidance in December 2023.
Please join the CSIS Energy Security and Climate Change Program for a livestream conversation exploring how proposed 45V guidance could shape the growth of the U.S. hydrogen industry with John Larsen, Partner at the Rhodium Group, and Maria Martinez, Director of U.S. Policy and Advocacy at Breakthrough Energy.
Joseph Majkut, Director of the CSIS Energy Security and Climate Change Program, will provide introductory remarks, followed by a moderated conversation and a Q&A.
This event is made possible by general funding to CSIS and the CSIS Energy Security & Climate Change Program.
