Rating India 2024: Key Opportunities and Risks
Brought to you by
India will hold elections this spring, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking a third term. After an economic slump that was augmented by Covid lockdowns early in his second term, gross domestic product has rebounded. However, India is now seeing a slowdown in foreign direct investment as well as reduced goods trade numbers—at a time the government is hoping to deepen integration in global supply chains.
For the fifth year in a row, the Chair in U.S.-India Policy Studies at the Center for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS) is pleased to host our annual event featuring key leaders from rating agencies to provide insights into economic trends that will impact India's economic trajectory. Join us as we speak with Christian de Guzman from Moody's Sovereign Ratings, Joydeep Mukherji from S&P Global Ratings, and Romina Bandura from the CSIS Project on Prosperity and Development and Project on U.S. Leadership in Development. The discussion will be moderated by the CSIS Chair in U.S.-India Policy, and Senior Adviser, Richard Rossow.
This event has been made possible through general support to CSIS.
