The CSIS live studio conversations, ‘Gaza: The Human Toll,’ are produced by the CSIS Bipartisan Alliance for Global Health Security, with co-sponsorship of the CSIS Humanitarian Agenda and the CSIS Middle East Program. The tenth one-hour episode, Wednesday, April 17, 12:30pm-1:30pm, spotlights the role of the United Nations Relief & Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). Scott Anderson, Senior Deputy Director of Operations, UNRWA, will provide a status update on the ongoing health and humanitarian crises in Gaza, including UNRWA’s critical role. He will be joined by J. Stephen Morrison, Senior Vice President and Director, CSIS Global Health Policy Center, Michelle Strucke, Director, CSIS Humanitarian and Human Rights Initiative, Jon B. Alterman, Senior Vice President, Zbigniew Brzezinski Chair in Global Security and Geostrategy and Director, CSIS Middle East Program, and Caitlin Welsh, Director, CSIS Global Food and Water Security Program.
