Abhinav Subramaniam

Abhinav Subramaniam is a research associate for the Energy Security and Climate Change Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). In this capacity, Abhinav manages program budgets, coordinates project activities, and delivers administrative and research support, contributing to initiatives across energy, technology, and sustainability. Abhinav holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering with a focus on sustainable technology and innovation from the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to joining CSIS, Abhinav worked as a project manager for nonprofits including WeShareSolar and Seabin, focusing his work on developing products, projects, and programs to foster social impact and sustainable solutions. As a product manager for Johnson Controls, Abhinav developed models to enable a more robust back-end engine for sustainable and environmental building controls models and conduct comparative analysis on healthy and sustainable building certifications, including from LEED and Well Building Institute.
