Andrea Leonard Palazzi is an associate fellow with the Economic Security and Technology Department at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). He researches global macroeconomics, particularly how geopolitics shapes trade, capital flows, and monetary systems. Before joining CSIS in 2022, he conducted applied economic analysis as an intern at the Central Bank of South Africa. Palazzi holds an MA in European public policy from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a BA, magna cum laude, in international affairs with a minor in legal studies from John Cabot University.
