Christopher Gundermann

Christopher Gundermann is a fellow with the Economics Program and Scholl Chair in International Business at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). His research focuses on the evolving global trading system, industrial strategy, international economic cooperation, and Chinese economic policy. Before joining CSIS, he advised large multinational firms on trade and investment issues as a private sector consultant. He also served as director of intergovernmental affairs and public engagement at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) and as a policy adviser at the Economic Development Administration (EDA) within the U.S. Department of Commerce. Christopher holds an MSc in public policy and administration from the London School of Economics (LSE) and a BA in government from the College of William and Mary.
