Pilar Frank O'Leary
Pilar Frank O'Leary is president of PFO Advisory Group, which advises leading foundations and companies in the United States, Latin America, and other global markets on their social impact and public-private strategies. With over twenty years of experience working on global initiatives, her clients have included the Inter-American Development Bank, CAF Development Bank, the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, Shakira’s Fundación Pies Descalzos (the Barefoot Foundation), the National Geographic Society, the International Women’s Media Foundation, Blackboard, Enterprise Holdings, EDENS, Facebook, the Coca-Cola Company, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and many other institutions. Before leading her consulting practice, Pilar worked as a legal and business executive at Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, Fannie Mae, and other organizations. Pilar was awarded the Order of San Felipe Arcángel by the Colombian government for helping further the U.S.–Colombia partnership, and she was knighted as a Dame by the Parte Guelfa Order in Florence, Italy, for her commitment to sustainability and social impact. Pilar is fluent in English, Spanish, and French, with basic proficiency in Italian and Portuguese. She maintains a broad network of contacts at the highest levels and serves on several nonprofit boards, including the Georgetown Ignatian Circle, the Meridian Global Leadership Council, the Bretton Woods Committee, and others. Pilar is a graduate of Georgetown University (BS) and Georgetown University Law Center (JD) and earned a certificate in Sustainability Strategies from Stanford University Business School. She is married with three children and resides in the Washington, D.C., area with her family.
