Yulia Amanbaeva

Yulia Amanbaeva is an adjunct fellow with the Reconnecting Asia project of the Brzezinski Institute on Geostrategy at CSIS. Her research interests focus on transport connectivity, facilitation of cross-border transport relations, project financing structures, and implications of funding in infrastructure development. Previously, she worked on special initiatives for the Development Economics Vice Presidency at the World Bank Group. She has also held a number of positions in the nonprofit, private, and public sectors, including with the World Bank, Kaz Minerals LLC, and the Ministry of Transport of the Kyrgyz Republic. Ms. Amanbaeva holds a master of laws in international business law from the American University Washington College of Law and an LL.B. in international and business law from the American University of Central Asia.
