Country Economic Security and Technology Assessments
The Country Economic Security and Technology Assessment (CESTA) project is a new initiative from the CSIS Economic Security and Technology (EST) department examining how key U.S. partners and allies are equipping themselves to confront modern economic and innovation challenges. Each country-specific assessment highlights critical sectors, economic vulnerabilities, and national strategies—offering actionable insights for policymakers and industry leaders, including strategic opportunities for cooperation with the United States on shared economic security goals.
In Spring 2025, EST launched a CESTA on the Republic of Korea. Future CESTAs may include the United Kingdom, Japan, a regional African assessment, and more. Contact us to learn more!
This project is made possible through general support to the CSIS Economic Security and Technology Department.
