Haryana launches ‘Saheli' programme. The state health department launched this new initiative to prevent unsafe and illegal abortions. Under this initiative ASHA (Accredited Social Health Activists) workers make daily calls to pregnant women for real-time monitoring and prompt miscarriage reporting.

Karnataka amends Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA), 2003. The amended act Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products (Prohibition of Advertisement and Regulation of Trade and Commerce, Production, Supply and Distribution) (Karnataka Amendment) Act, 2024 puts a ban on sale of loose cigarettes or single sticks and hookah bars and prohibits sale of tobacco products within 100 metres of any educational institution.

Delhi amends Supply Code and Performance Standards Regulations, 2017. The regulations titled Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (Supply Code and Performance Standards) (Seventh Amendment) Regulations, 2025 divides the infrastructure-related works undertaken by the Distribution Licensee on behalf of Departments of Govt. of NCT of Delhi into three categories to provide a structured approach and bring clarity and accountability.

The draft regulations issued by Kerala State Electricity Regulatory Commission (KSERC) apply to matters such as determination of tariff of energy from Renewable Energy systems including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Pumped Storage Plants, Renewable Energy Metering and Billing etc.

Andhra Pradesh amends the Factories Act, 1948. The AP Factories Amendment Bill, 2025 reduces the procedural burden on industries and allows women to work night shifts in factories with adequate safety and transport facilities.

Madhya Pradesh amends the three labour laws namely Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970, Factory Act, 1948 and the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947. The amendments aim to simplify labour laws and reduce compliance burden on small and medium scale institutions and industries. The amendment to Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970, and Factory Act, 1948 raises limit on workers currently prescribed.
