Marty Pimentel is a program manager and research associate for the Middle East Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), where he supports research on social, political, economic, and environmental change in the region. Prior to joining CSIS, he worked as a research assistant at the United States Institute of Peace and as a program assistant at the Carter Center. Marty holds a BA in history and political science from Emory University and an MA in Arab studies from Georgetown University.
