Over the past year, there has been a monumental shift in U.S. foreign assistance programming, agencies, and personnel. These transformations demand a critical effort to examine the future of development and U.S. engagement with the Global South.

Please join the CSIS Global Development Department (GDD) for a launch event on February 10, 2026. This gathering will highlight the department’s inaugural report, A New Landscape for Development

The event will include opening remarks by CSIS Leadership, followed by a fireside chat with Members of Congress and a panel of experts who will unpack the lasting impact of these policy shifts on the global development architecture and offer practical recommendations for the way ahead. The event will conclude with a high-level networking opportunity.

This event is made possible through general support to CSIS.
