2025 Global Security Forum, Strength Through the Storm: Industry, Innovation, and the Future of U.S. Military Power
Brought to you by
American industrial genius, unmatched throughout all the world in the solution of production problems, has been called upon to bring its resources and its talents into action.
[W]e will again build the strongest military the world has ever seen. We will measure our success not only by the battles we win but also by the wars that we end — and perhaps most importantly, the wars we never get into.
Our Nation finds itself mired in geopolitical change and uncertainty. Our adversaries have drawn closer together, deepening military ties and forging strategic alliances that threaten to upend the global balance of power. Our military and technological edge, once unquestioned, is eroding as rivals invest heavily in hypersonics, artificial intelligence, and next-generation warfare. At the same time, our defense industrial base remains under equipped for the scale of rearmament and innovation required to sustain deterrence and warfighting advantage in this rapidly evolving threat environment.
Our industrial might and innovation genius have long been the source of America’s military edge and strategic advantage. Yet time is not on our side. To deter conflict, prevail in war, and secure peace from a position of undeniable strength, urgent action is needed to restore our industrial strength and military power.
Join the CSIS Defense and Security Department as we examine these issues at the 2025 Global Security Forum, Strength Through the Storm: Industry, Innovation, and the Future of U.S. Military Power, on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
As CSIS's flagship annual security conference, the Forum will convene leaders from the government, military, private sector, and think tank community to discuss the intersection of industry, innovation, and military power and how we harness sources of American strength to address our Nation’s security challenges.
The conference will be held virtually and livestreamed from this webpage. Further details on the schedule, participants, and registration will be updated in the leadup to the Forum in May.
This event is made possible by the generous support of Leonardo DRS.
